Vinmakarens beskrivning:
This wine comes from the old slate vineyard “Kinheimer Eulenlay.”
Mostly ancient, 100-year-old European, uncrafted Riesling vines stand
there 80 meters above the Moselle, looking serenely down at the river.
They have seen so much.
All kinds of wild herbs sprout there between
the small blue-gray slate slabs, which have never had to endure the
pressure of a tractor tire. Wild strawberries also thrive here, which is
always a good sign.
The grapes are small and golden, spicy and firm.
The wine fermented very slowly and has combined its scents and
aromas, its cool elegance and fiery energy into such an animating
drinking flow that you want to empty the glass in one go.
It is still very young, runs somewhat viscously into the glass, provides a pleasantly
creamy mouthfeel, and then this organizing, mineral acidity appears,
ensuring a concise finish.
